New Social Media Marketing Giant: Falcon.io acquires Unmetric
Updated: Feb 18, 2022

On October 24th of 2019, Falcon.io, the social media management division of Cision, acquired Unmetric, another brand leader in social media marketing.
Unmetric is best known for its ability to deliver insights based on public data from leading global brands.
What does this mean for those who have been with Unmetric for some time? Well, according to Cision, Falcon.io is extending a warm welcome to those brands Unmetric has been serving for years including the likes of Unilever and Pepsi.
The changes to Falcon.io will include: incorporating the Unmetric team into Falcon.io, Unmetric’s social media marketing capabilities will be folded into the Falcon.io consumer offering, and things that Unmetric has already taken to market will continue to be worked on and perfected.
According to Ulrick Bo Larsen, founder of Falcon.io and president of Cision Social, the Unmetric acquisition gets Falcon.io closer to its primary vision of delivering powerful social software which enables brands to use it to win in their markets. And that’s what it is really about, winning.
To say Falcon.io isn’t already capable of winning without Unmetric would probably be untrue; however, adding the two of them together can only make a stronger and more capable company.
This sentiment is echoed by Unmetric’s CEO, Lux Narayan. He states, “Marketers are often data rich and insight poor,” something Umetric was created to combat.
What can we expect to see from this giant in the future? A more robust social media marketing platform for businesses everywhere.
