Social Media Marketing Giant

On October 24th, 2019,, Cision's social media management division, acquired Unmetric, another brand leader in social media marketing.

Unmetric is best known for its ability to deliver insights based on public data from leading global brands.

What does this mean for those who have been with Unmetric for some time? According to Cision, is extending a warm welcome to those brands Unmetric has been serving for years, including Unilever and Pepsi.

The changes to will include incorporating the Unmetric team into, folding Unmetric’s social media marketing capabilities into the consumer offering, and continuing to work on and perfect things that Unmetric has already taken to market.

According to Ulrick Bo Larsen, founder of and president of Cision Social, the Unmetric acquisition brings closer to its primary vision of delivering powerful social software that enables brands to win in their markets. And that’s what it is really about winning.

It would probably be untrue to say isn’t already capable of winning without Unmetric; however, adding the two together can only make the company stronger and more capable.

This sentiment is echoed by Unmetric’s CEO, Lux Narayan. He states, “Marketers are often data rich and insight poor,” something Umetric was created to combat.

What can we expect to see from this giant in the future? A more robust social media marketing platform for businesses everywhere.
